Hi, I'm Shandrell, the founder of Beauty & The Struggle. As a woman with deep melanin-rich skin, I understand the unique challenges of finding makeup that blends seamlessly and enhances our natural beauty. In 2020, I started this journey to create a cosmetic brand that celebrates and empowers every shade. My mission is to provide high-quality, customized products that cater to the needs of all women, especially those with melanin-rich skin tones. Chan Melton

Chan Melton born May 30, 1973 a native of Chicago and a past student of St. Sabina Catholic School. Melton wants to prove that it doesn't matter where you come from, but it's where you want to be. "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and all that you're getting get understanding" (Proverbs 4:7) Early in the month of April of 2024, Melton was introduced to Beauty & The Struggle and loved the passion and the vision. This was a company built from a wonderful lady’s dream that was presented for all generations of women. I have embarked in partnership with Beauty & The Struggle knowing the power of her vision. I ask everyone that believe in the passion of a woman's dream to support the business.
